About "Actions Options"

Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers has agreed to test new software that is being developed specifically for organizations like MAP. It was originally created for an organization in Illinois, Illinois Coalition for Peace and Justice (ICPJ), and their website, ILCPJ.org.

The Actions Options Tool is being developed with a long term plan of using it to faciliate communication between state coalitions. One of the goals of the tool is to create opportunities for powerful ideas to emerge in any member organization, which may then propagate across all of the states set up and using the tool. Five states are presently exploring the tool for use in their state coalitions. This project is four months old.

A few of MAP member-organizations have already been signed up to test the Actions Options Tool (AOT). If you would like to share in this opportunity to work even more closely with one another on common actions and common goals, please contact us.

What Next

MAP and the developers are optimistic about how the tool will be able to provide efficiencies within MAP and help us quickly and easily disseminate news and other time-sensitive data, while keeping us all working together. That being said, if we receive positive feedback from the testers and the members of MAP in general, we will consider a solution where the tool is better and more fully integrated with the main MAP website.

They may even offer you an opportunity to test the tools in their "development" environment, which is updated on a weekly basis with the latest features.
